I am pleased to share that President’s Cabinet has approved the rebranding of the Department of Instructional Technology and Curriculum Support (ITCS) to the Department of Instructional Support. Hello everyone, September was another busy month for SAS. We were able to attending a number of events that open the door for information sharing. The first event was the Native American Student Success Workshop at both Kayenta and Hopi. This was followed by an invite to attend the Disability Awareness/Resource fair at the Hopi Veteran’s Memorial Center. By attending this event another invite was offered to SAS to join the team at Hopi High School as they create a Transition Program to support all of their graduating students. This partnership will open up the opportunity for SAS and NPC to work directly with students looking to be work ready.
We continue to schedule new students to discuss disability related concerns as they start and return to NPC this fall. This normally continues throughout the semester; a student can self-identify at any time. It is just important they understand that accommodations are not retroactive, so please encourage your students to reach out if they need support.

We are pleased to introduce our newest proctor, Jayda Halverson. Jayda is a massage therapy student here at NPC and has worked in the front office at SCC. She brings a lot of energy and new ideas to our testing team.
