In September, KS3 pupils took part in an Immersion day entitled 'Nyth Y Ddraig' ('Dragon's Den') whereby they worked on becoming Enterprising and Creative. Pupils worked collaboratively to develop a product/an idea for a product that they then had to pitch 'in the den'. Everyone enjoyed the day, even the Dragons!
In November, KS3 pupils took part in an Immersion day of workshops where they worked on becoming Healthy and Confident. Pupils completed activities such as 'Relax Kids', Circus Performing, 'Dance Crazy', ELSA, Tae Kwon Do, healthy smoothie making and a session with Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team. Feedback from pupils and staff was very positive and pupils particularly enjoyed collecting stickers on a lanyard for each workshop they participated in.
In January, KS3 pupils took part in an Immersion day with Tomorrow's Engineers , entitled 'Energy Quest', whereby they worked on becoming Ethically Informed Citizens. Pupils worked collaboratively to research different forms of renewable energy and their advantages and disadvantages. Pupils then presented their findings in the hall. They also took part in a workshop where they got to build and race solar powered cars!
