Primary Access For Kids is an initiative of the Dane County Health Council. Although this is not health insurance, this program provides primary care and care for illness and injury to children who are not eligible for health insurance. Care is provided at no charge. It does not cover hospital care. Each MMSD school is connected to a specific health clinic. When submitting a PAK referral to clinics, please include immunization information.

Clinic Assignments for Schools
In March 2004, Group Health Cooperative donated money to the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools to establish an endowment fund in Dr. Russell Hess’s memory. Because of this donation, we have $2000 available for emergency health needs each school year.
School Nurses must request approval to use these funds prior to purchasing. Please reach out to the Health Services Admin Assistant for approval.
