Wavy Paper Optical Illusion 2

Wavy Paper Optical Illusion 2

This project creates the illusion of waves in your paper by using straight lines, curved lines and value.

Value is one of the elements of art and is the difference between light and dark of a color or object. One use of value is shading. Using shading can create the illusion of form, making objects look 3-dimensional.

For this project, you'll need white paper, a ruler, pencil and eraser. For color, you can use crayons or colored pencils. The example to the left also uses markers but that's optional.

In this example, I used crayons to create the light and dark values.
