9.1 The Pythagorean Theorem
9.2 Special Right Triangles
9.3 Similar Right Triangles
9.4 The Tangent Ratio
9.6 Solving Right Triangles
9.1 – The Pythagorean Theorem
Students will apply the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse to find missing side lengths and determine whether a triangle is a right triangle (G.8D).
9.2 – Special Right Triangles
Students will solve problems involving 45-45-90 and 30-60-90 special right triangles using geometric relationships and proportional reasoning (G.8E).
9.3 – Similar Right Triangles
Students will use geometric means and relationships in similar right triangles to solve problems and prove triangle similarity (G.8A, G.8B).
9.4 – The Tangent Ratio
Students will define and apply the tangent ratio to solve for unknown sides or angles in right triangles (G.8F).
9.5 – The Sine and Cosine Ratios
Students will define and apply sine and cosine ratios to find missing sides and angles in right triangles using trigonometric relationships (G.8F).
9.6 – Solving Right Triangles
Students will solve right triangles by applying the Pythagorean Theorem, special right triangle rules, and trigonometric ratios (G.8D, G.8E, G.8F).
