8.1 Similar Polygons
8.2 Proving Triangle Similarity by AA
8.3 Proving Triangle Similarity by SSS and SAS
8.4 Proportionality Theorems
8.1 – Similar Polygons
Students will identify similar polygons using corresponding side ratios and angle congruence, and use scale factors to solve problems (G.8A, G.8B).
8.2 – Proving Triangle Similarity by AA
Students will prove triangles are similar using the Angle-Angle (AA) similarity criterion and apply it to solve geometric problems (G.8A).
8.3 – Proving Triangle Similarity by SSS and SAS
Students will prove triangles are similar using Side-Side-Side (SSS) and Side-Angle-Side (SAS) similarity criteria and solve problems using proportional reasoning (G.8A, G.8B).
8.4 – Proportionality Theorems
Students will apply triangle proportionality theorems—including the Triangle Proportionality and Converse Theorem—to find missing segment lengths and justify reasoning (G.8B, G.8C).
