11.1 Circumference and Arc Length
11.2 Areas of Circles and Sectors
11.3 Areas of Polygons and Composite Figures
11.4 Effects of changing Dimensions
11.1 – Circumference and Arc Length
Students will calculate the circumference of circles and the length of arcs using formulas, and apply these concepts to solve problems (G.9A, G.9B).
11.2 – Areas of Circles and Sectors
Students will apply area formulas to circles and sectors to find exact and approximate areas and solve real-world problems involving circular regions (G.9A, G.9B).
11.3 – Areas of Polygons and Composite Figures
Students will find the areas of regular polygons and composite figures by decomposing them into simpler shapes and applying area formulas (G.9A).
11.4 – Effects of Changing Dimensions
Students will analyze how changing one or more dimensions of a figure affects its perimeter, area, and volume, using scale factors and proportional reasoning (G.9C).
