10.1 – Lines and Segments that Intersect Circles
Students will identify and describe relationships among chords, secants, tangents, and radii in circles, and apply these relationships to solve problems (G.11A, G.11C).
10.2 – Finding Arc Measures
Students will classify arcs and use central angles to find arc measures in degrees and relate arc measures to circumference (G.11A, G.11B).
10.3 – Using Chords
Students will apply properties of chords and perpendicular bisectors in circles to find missing measures and justify geometric relationships (G.11C).
10.4 – Inscribed Angles and Polygons
Students will use inscribed angles to find arc and angle measures, and identify properties of polygons inscribed in circles (G.11A, G.11C).
10.5 – Angle Relationships in Circles
Students will apply theorems related to angles formed by tangents, secants, and chords to find missing angle and arc measures (G.11A, G.11C).
10.6 – Segment Relationships in Circles
Students will use properties of intersecting chords, secants, and tangents to find unknown lengths and apply theorems to solve real-world problems (G.11C).
10.7 – Circles in the Coordinate Plane
Students will write and graph equations of circles in standard form and solve problems involving circles in the coordinate plane (G.2C, G.11B).
