Section Objectives
Section Objectives
7.1 – Classifying, Adding, & Subtracting Polynomials
Students will classify polynomials by degree and number of terms, and add or subtract polynomials using standard form and combining like terms (A.10A).
7.2a – Multiplying Binomials by Binomials
Students will multiply binomials using FOIL or other methods, and simplify the product in standard form (A.10B).
7.2b – Multiplying Binomials by Trinomials
Students will extend multiplication strategies to multiply binomials by trinomials and simplify expressions (A.10B).
7.3a – Perfect Square Trinomials
Students will identify and expand perfect square trinomials and factor them when expressed in standard form (A.10C).
7.3b – Difference of Perfect Squares
Students will apply the difference of squares pattern to expand and factor binomials (A.10C).
