Creating Video Content- QuickTime Player

From your Mac laptop you can use the built in Quicktime Player application to record materials in three different ways. You can record audio only, your whole computer screen or partial screen selection, or a video of yourself using the built in camera. The videos can then be saved and easily shared with others by uploading them to YouTube, Schoology, or other means. The tutorial video below provides a working demonstration of how this can be done.

  • The audio recording allows you to record an audio only .m4a file.
  • The screen recording allows for you to record either a selected portion or the entire screen.
  • The movie recording allows for you to record a video using the built in camera.
  • One can even do a movie (video) and screen recording together to record a video of yourself speaking while demonstrating through a screen recording.
