Starting a Class
Once you have loaded the Mosyle Manager MDM for Schools app it is rather simple to start a class session by opening this app. Follow the steps below or check out the short video attached at the bottom. *Your teacher iPad must be enrolled into the Mosyle MDM for your classes to load so if it is not you will need to bring your iPad and I will get your iPad enrolled.
Once you have loaded the Mosyle Manager MDM for Schools app it is rather simple to start a class session by opening this app. Follow the steps below or check out the short video attached at the bottom. *Your teacher iPad must be enrolled into the Mosyle MDM for your classes to load so if it is not you will need to bring your iPad and I will get your iPad enrolled.
- Open the Mosyle Manager MDM App.
- You should get a scrollable grouping of all of your classes that have been pulled from Powerschool.
- Select your current class that you want to open and control.
- This opens a beginning screen with two tabs: Manage iOS/iPads or Manage MacOS. For us we will operate on the Manage iPads tab unless you are managing classes with Seniors. At this screen you will want to select the absent. (This helps so that you aren't pushing commands to devices that aren't there.)
- Set the class duration slider. This will allow the class to end and release any controls you have set when class ends. It also prevents issues with other teachers trying to open Mosyle Manager and connect and control student devices.
- There are a few options listed above the Start class button that once you have used Mosyle Manager a bit you can put into effect immediately upon starting the class.
- Click the Start class button in the bottom middle and it will begin the session.
Choose the correct tab from the website menu under Mosyle Manager for further information on what you want to control for the class within your session you have just begun.
