Impact 15

Hiking Trail

Description of the Project :The project is to clean up the litter in our surrounding environment through regular physical activities (hiking). Thus, through hiking, students can also get in touch with nature while demonstrating our involvement in sustaining it. This can present itself as an opportunity for students to get out of the campus and broaden their knowledge about pollution and the topography of the island. The project also aims at showing people the impacts of their actions and inconsiderations on the environment. Other than that, this project is a way to encourage the physical, mental and social well-being of students taking part in the hike since hiking is a sporting activity. Especially in a time period where people have been confined at their homes for long due to the pandemic, hiking is a golden opportunity for students to get out of their comfort zones, and get in touch with nature again instead of staying on their screens. In improving the mental health of the students, they will be more socially engaged and accepted
