Spanish 2 reviews and builds upon the grammar of Spanish 1, resulting in the ability to communicate in the simple past, present and future tenses. Students continue to increase their vocabulary through role plays based on real-world settings, translations and an increase in the depth and breadth of their communications skills. Students use their knowledge of vocabulary and the similarities between English and Spanish to become more adept in using context clues for meaning when reading and listening. This course teaches cultural sensitivity and awareness through introducing students to Latin-Hispanic culture as it is closely linked to our own.
