Latin 2 students review the grammar learned in the first year of Latin, and complete the study of all of the basic structures of the Latin language, while increasing their Latin vocabulary and their awareness of Latin-derived English words. Students translate passages of increasing length and complexity, noting the way in which grammatical structures are manipulated in these passages. Students will also continue the Roman Mysteries series in Latin 2, focusing on the Fall of the Republic, the structure of government and religion, and a number of Roman battles.
