ART6350 – Ceramics 1 (Intro)
· Semester – 1/2 credit - Grades 10, 11, 12
· Selection Criteria: completion of Art Foundations with a grade of C or higher

Ceramics 1 introduces students to the fundamentals of working with clay, including hand-building, wheel-throwing, and surface decoration techniques. Students will explore form, function, and creative expression while learning about ceramic traditions and contemporary practices. Emphasis is placed on developing craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of the firing and glazing process.
