In order to enroll in Physical Science Honors, students should meet the criteria for placement in honors classes. Honors Physical Science is an accelerated, inquiry-based introduction to the fundamental principles of chemistry and physics. This course focuses on the relationship between matter and energy, including the study of forces, motion, and chemical reactions. Students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills through in-depth laboratory work, data analysis, and real-world applications. The primary difference in the honors level is the depth of study, the application of concepts learned to new situations, and the independent nature of coursework.
