This week, we practiced rounding and measuring. We estimated the length of items to the nearest 10cm and checked our estimates with a ruler.
We enjoyed a sensory story in Drama this week where we explored the story of Elmer.
We went to B&M to choose items for our business enterprise cafe. Students could make choices between 2 options of items.
This week we learnt about harvest festival. We learnt about when the festival happens and why it is celebrated and have created a harvest collage.
For our ASDAN short course, we explored different genres of movement. We copied workouts and then explored our own dance moves to the same song.
We have been making our own lunches. This week, we cooked fajitas! They were really tasty and we had to use all of our health and safety knowledge to make them safely.
In the community this week, we looked for shops that sold clothes and commented on which clothes we preferred.
Dover Class are learning about light in science. Here we are exploring how light travels through objects and how it is refracted.
We have been learning about our skills and qualities. This week, we thought about the jobs different people do and the skills and qualities they need to do their job well.
We have been learning about 3d shapes in Maths. This week we looked at how shapes can be sorted into different groups and found 3d shapes in our environment.
We have been learning how to use shapes and transfer them into christmas card decorations.
We are preparing to run our cafe. We conducted a consumer survey to ask what our potential customers thought about our apple crumble.

We have been practicing our throwing and catching in PE, working on our coordination and our teamwork skills

We went to Millbrook for our first community participation trip and we were surprised to see the Christmas decorations in the shops already!
We have been working on our ball skills in PE and learning to make healthy, active choices. At the end of our PE sessions we can choose an activity such as catch or rope swings!
Our ASDAN module this term is on health and safety. We identified health and safety signs in the community and learnt what they mean.
In horticulture, we followed instructions to plant seeds of our choice. We have to watch our plants and make sure they are well watered.
We have been exploring instruments in music and learning to play along to songs using an instrument of our choice.
We are learning about counting and numbers. We have learnt that numbers are made out of tens and ones and that this can help us count quickly.
We have been learning how to take care of our class and our environment. We have learnt how to clean our tables properly.
We are learning to recognise shapes and their properties. Here we are spotting shapes in our school environment.
We have enjoyed working on our ball control and teamwork skills in PE. We have also had a lot of fun in sports club!

Dover class worked together to make our own lunch. We chopped vegetables, peeled garlic and fried mince to make spaghetti bolognese.

In our morning meeting, we have been practicing greeting people and asking how they are. We are learning to listen to their answer and take part in short conversations.
