Module 3

Transdisciplinary Theme

How the World Works

Central Idea

Exploring nature, rules, and fairness helps us to understand the world we live in.

Lines of Inquiry

Humans and nature both have laws.

Rules are always being reviewed and adapted to meet the needs of humans and nature.

The rules we follow in our communities influence how we treat nature.

Inquiry Learning

We started learning more about our theme, central idea, and lines of inquiry to really understand them. This helps us become more curious about what we're learning. As we learn more about our theme, we discover new questions and connections, making our learning adventure super exciting. We're eager to see where our curiosity takes us next!

English

We tried something fun called blackout poetry with our book "The Pebble in My Pocket." Blackout poetry is when you take a page from a book, newspaper, or magazine and cover up some words to create your own poem. All students did a great job and made awesome and unique poems!

Maths

We have been establishing the link between repeated addition and multiplication by identifying equal groups. Through this process, we can recognise whether groups are equal or not and explain the rationale behind our observations. Additionally, we have determined the quantity in each group, developing the language related to repeated addition.
