Houses

The House system is a strong characteristic of Christ College, it is a fundamental aspect of King Henry VIII College life, too. The house system develops competition, collegiality, and a sense of belonging to a group that has an identity and purpose.

From Year 7 onward, students and staff are assigned to one of the Houses below. Students will be required to wear their house colours when competing in house competitions.

Students remain in the same House throughout their time at King Henry VIII College: day and boarding students join together for all House competitions, sure to be a central and memorable feature of the school, just as in Christ College.

Competitions throughout the academic year include:

• Talent Shows

• Quiz and debate
