Ok everyone! Get those leg warmers, headbands, and fingerless gloves ready because chorus is travelling back in time to the 80's. This quarter we are working on songs for our Spring Concert, The Excellent 80's! The students are enjoying practicing singing in their chest voices and the different pop style that we are working on. It's quite a change from the classical style of music we've been doing all year. When it comes to the 80's music, 6th grader Anaiah Ortiz says, "80's music is very pop and some songs sound good like 'Take On Me.'" While 8th grader Shawna Polmanteer says "Doing the 80's music is quite the experience. I think people will love it." I hope you're right, Shawna!

It's been a busy and productive month in the Math Learning Lab! Our students recently completed a Growth Monitoring Assessment and their progress was amazing. Their growth is a testament to their hard work and dedication to learning. In addition to strengthening their math skills, the students are are also applying their knowledge to problem solving and real-world scenarios. The students are learning to think critically and collaborate with their peers as they push their critical thinking abilities to new heights.
