Students are working on 80's music for their Spring Concert which is coming up on Thursday, May 22. The thing that makes this concert special is it combines singing with choreography (dancing). When asked what the students think about it, they mentioned that it is hard to multi-task and concentrate on both things at once. They also said it is a lot of work and can be exhausting. However, they said that dancing helps express the song more thoroughly and that it gives them much more motivation. One student says that when they sing and dance, they are able to let go of all their worries!

April was an exciting month in Ag. Tech, because we finally completed our pickle production project for our small business, Dill District Pickles, in partnership with The Hawaii Agricultural Foundation's Young Entrepreneurs Program. We have been working across our campus, collaborating with the computer science and robotics team and the Home Economics department to produce 142 jars of pickles for market day, where we sold 134 jars!

All of the Math Learning Lab students are demonstrating awesome stamina in their problem-solving abilities!

Students in all grade levels began the quarter by learning how to program in Swift (functions, loops, conditionals, logical operators, etc.). They also learned a little about how machine learning works, and created a simple machine learning model to distinguish between two or more things. At this point, Grade 6 is learning about Ozobots, Grade 7 is starting into 3D design, and Grade 8 is building and beginning to code Lego EV3 bots.
