4th Grade Judaic Studies

Hello 4th graders!

Today we will be learning Chumash,

Perek Lamed Hey, Posukim Hey though Chet.

Each day I will post your assignments on this page. Depending upon the day, there will be a reading or math video. I will post the answers to your independent math work on seesaw. Please check your work and email me if you have any questions. My email address is ljapko@jkha.org. I miss you already!

Cricket in Times Square is one of my favorite books. It is a story of friendship and working together. Friends can be found in all different places. I want you to compare the setting in the book with what you know about Times Square.

  • Read chapters 1 and 2 of Cricket in Times Square ( Morah Jordana read chapter 1 and Morah Alana read chapter 2) and answer comprehension questions in TTQA. Videos below.

  • Vocabulary- Complete google form below

  • Math complete the fraction word problems in IXL R7. Remember to find the LCM (least common multiple ) so that each fraction is equivalent before you add or subtract.

  • Maps and Globes-chapter 2 intermediate directions pages 14-16- Intermediate directions are the directions between the cardinal ones. Try and locate all of the map features on page 14. I will post the answers for pages 15 and 16 on seesaw

4A Mrs. Kowalski General Studies

Each day we will be focusing on Math, Reading, or Writing. On Monday's and Friday's we will be focusing on Reading . On Tuesday's and Thursday's we will be focusing on Math and on Wednesday's we will be focusing on Research/Writing. Each day there will be a google form to complete and submit. Sometimes the forms will be just for fun and others will be for me to check your understanding about a topic. Below are the list of lessons and assignments for today. 2. IXL Find equivalent fractions using models P.5. ixl.com


  • Language Arts:

1. Read Chapters 1 and 2 of Cricket in Times Square and complete the questions in the packet for chapters 1 and 2. You can read along with Morah Jordana for Chapter 1 and Morah Alana for Chapter 2 if you wish. We added PDF's of the pages above if you need them!

2. Complete Comprehension questions for Chapters 1 and 2 in your Cricket packet (p. 56 and 57). Please use TEXT EVIDENCE to choose your answers. Write the page number next to the question to "prove" your answer is correct!
