Printers

Most of the Printers at ICS are connecting wirelessly via the KMFollowMePrint printer. There is two on each floor, one in each of the wings and additional ones in department offices.

Printing

Computer

1. Select the KMFollowMePrint printer from the dropdown menu of the print menu.

2. Adjust the print settings as desired. Submit.

3. If prompted for credentials. they are your Portal ID & Password.

Printer

1. Login to the printer by either scanning your ID card or by manually entering in your Portal ID & Password onto the touch screen.

2. Tap Release to view the print queue of the items you have sent to the printer.

3. Select the items that you want printed and tap Start

4. Tap Logout (exit door icon) to sign-out of the printer

Printing Cost

• Black & White / Grayscale: 0.05 HKD per page

• Color: 0.70 HKD per page

To print Black and White (MacOS)

1. Navigate to the laptop native print options

• If using Google Chrome: from the print screen, click More Settings, scroll down, Print Using System Dialogue

2. Scroll down to Printer Options > Quality

3. Select Select Color > Gray Scale

If you wish to save the current settings as a preset. Scroll to the top of the Print Menu, select Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset

Printing Booklet

Some of the printers are equipped with folding and stapling attachments for printing booklets. 

To print a booklet

1. Navigate to the laptop native print options

• If using Google Chrome: from the print screen, click More Settings, scroll down, Print Using System Dialogue

2. Scroll down to Printer Options > Layout / Finish. Change the Print Type: from 2-Sided, to Booklet

If desired, you can save your settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as a Preset..., at the top of the print menu.

Printing Single-Sided

Some of the printers are equipped with folding and stapling attachments for printing booklets. 

To print single-sided

1. Navigate to the laptop native print options

• If using Google Chrome: from the print screen, click More Settings, scroll down, Print Using System Dialogue

2. Scroll down to Printer Options > Layout / Finish. Change the Print Type: from 2-Sided, to 1-Sided

If desired, you can save your settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as a Preset..., at the top of the print menu.

After you've made the adjustments on what you want your preset to be, scroll up to Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset.... and save

FAQ

Printer is saying "Insufficient Funds"

Most commonly, this message is caused by having your account signed into two printers at once. Sign out of one printer, and then you can sign into another printer and print from there.

Note: Once you have started a series of print jobs, you can sign out of the machine and the jobs will continue to print.
