8P1 - Video Project

Reflection Sheet

• Using an IPad and safari pictures, I created a video about how I've changed since last year. I made this video because then people who watched my video last year get to see my new one and how I have gotten better at production making. This shows what I used to make the video and why I made it.

• During this process, I didn't exactly learn anything. Instead, I improved on what I had already learned. I did that by making each photo last the same amount of time that I talked about that specific section of the video.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner. It ties to Empowered Learner because I used what I did last year to improve and make new on what I do this year.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was dealing with the random times the screen would freeze. I was able to do it by closing the app and reopening it and then it wouldn't freeze until the next day. I also overcame making new transitions and figuring out how to make the video look better.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the quality of the sound made with the microphone. The reason why I would change it is because it would make my video better and have a way better quality and people would also be able to listen to it and not have to focus to hear what I'm trying to say. I would also add some more detail and make the pictures a better graphic and maybe even add in my own pictures of me doing those activities so people can see why I like it so much.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  It connects because I'm using the Ipad to make my video and I post it on the website and I edited the video.

• My project connects to careers in producing. It goes with producing because I made my own video and when producing a movie, the producer is the person that puts everything together. It also works well with editors because I edited my own video and got all the transitions and stuff.
