This is my video about my project.
Reflection
Using Tinkercad and my computer, I created a 3D printed pen/marker holder. I built this because I need it for my room because all my drawing stuff has no home, so they need one. I also made it so my room will be cleaner with no markers on my floor or just going everywhere in my room. These are the reasons why I am making a pen and marker holder.
During this process, I learned how to get exact dimensions and how to make new shapes. You get the exact dimensions by clicking on the corner or the height and typing in the numbers you need. You make new shapes by putting a shape into another shape and then making how you want the hole to look like and make it a hole.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. It connects to that because I did everything myself except when I needed help with sharing stuff.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how to figure out what my project was going to be and how to imprint my name into an item. I was able to figure out what I was going to make by first brain storming what I need to help my life be better/easier/cleaner. I figured out how to imprint my name into an item by watching a video of how to do it. The video said to add a typing block, type what I wanted it to say, put it in the spot I want to go by rotating it and changing height, etc. Then, making it a hole and grouping them to each other.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of problems I would solve and ask to make it bigger to hold more drawing stuff for me. The reason why I would change it is because then more of my drawing stuff could be in a cool holder. The amount of problems I fixed would change because then I could have more problems fixed and they'd be cool fixes because they'd be made by me.
