Reflection

• Using Cospaces and VR headsets, I created a zoo with people and animals. I decided to make a zoo because I knew I could add a lot of cool things to it like animals, people, and items. I also made it because I knew I'd be able to make some dialogue and movements.

• During this process, I learned many things. First, I learned how to make people and animals talk and move. You right click the item and go to reactions, postures, actions, or speech. Second, I learned how to add a sidewalk/path. I got small squares and made them a sidewalk and dragged them to scale.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator. It connects to global collaborator because I made this link and posted it on the internet for people to see.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make a video in play mode. I was able to do it by going into play mode and then scrolling down and doing a screen record. I also learned how to make a sidewalk. You make a side walk by placing a cube, adjusting it to the spots you want it to, and then making it gray because that's the color of a sidewalk.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of animals I put in the zoo, the amount of detail in the entrance, and the fence around the zoo. The reason why I would change the amount of animals is because then it would be more like a zoo because zoos have a ton of animals. I would add more detail in the entrance because everyone knows that's how people figure out they want to go somewhere. And, I would change the fence around the zoo because the fence needs to be sturdy not just a fence you find in peoples backyard.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers like programmer for Oculus, 3D modeling, and the understanding of VR technologies.
