I worked on my reflection the majority of the day and finished the whole project and worked on my recording and then turned it in.
Reflection
Using Cospaces, mergecube, computer, and ipad, I created a mergecube showing the first time I drove my grandma and grandpa's ski boat. I made it because I thought it was one of my favorite time's on Gun Lake. I also did this because driving boats and spending time on the lake is a big part of my life.
During this process, I learned a lot of things, first being what and how you use Cospaces with Mergecubes. I also learned how to add multiple materials on the cube. You do that by scaling down all the stuff and rotating them to make them all fit on the on side of the cube. And I learned how to Turn the cube. I learned how to turn the cube by holding the space bar and left clicking to where I want to work.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. It connects because I did it all by myself and not doing copyright. I did it by myself by many ways like I was the one who decided what to do and I did all the work by myself.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to rotate the cube to work on the last side. I was able to do it by Right-clicking over everything and then pressing the G button or by clicking the Group button. I also learned how to make people talk. You make people talk by right clicking on them and going to the speech and typing what you want them to say.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of detail. The reason why I would change it is because it would make it look a lot nicer and my lake would look like a lake instead of grass. I'd also add more people on the cube for way more detail and having them say more because if they talked more it would also help people know more about what's happening.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Technology, video making, and computer programming. These careers could include being a producer or a programmer.
