Set up and activate Georgetown Duo
Once you have been issued a NetID, you can activate your mobile Georgetown Duo.
This will be used for Single Sign On (SSO) for many GU applications such as Canvas, Box, & GSuite.
Orient to Georgetown's G-Suite and set up on your mobile device.
Log in and learn how to use GMail features.
Learn how to create a Calendar invite to includes a Google Meet or Zoom link to set up meetings with students or preceptors.
Install and learn how to use the Google Hangouts app on your device to text or chat students if needed. Do not use your personal number for text exchanges with students.
FOR CFAs and SECTION FACULTY:
Orient to Canvas Digital Campus.
Log in using Single Sign On (SSO). You will need to have downloaded and activated GU mobile Duo.
Schedule an orientation with 2U Faculty Support.
Watch video tutorials on how to complete grading in Canvas.
Review all modules and content in the following courses:
NM & WHNP Clinical and OCI Prep Course (in Canvas)
Teaching Online (in Canvas)
Orient to GU Box.
You will need to activate your GU BOX account. This process takes 24 hours.
Log in to GU Box with your NetID.
Locate CFA Folders where you will store CFA/student-related files.
Consider installing Box Mobile or Box Sync on your device or computer for convenient access to CFA documents.
*Note that copies of most of CFA-related files are also stored in Box; however, you may link to them directly from the various sections of CFA Home.
FOR CFAs:
Familiarize yourself with CFA Home.
This website will serve as a hub for all CFA activities, documents, and community.
Orient to Typhon (account #7269).
Log in information sent to your GU email address. Credentials must be activated within 72 hours of receiving email.

View Typhon Tips: Sample Scenarios for Students that can support you in troubleshooting with students.
Schedule an orientation session with Lead CFA or CFD.
Please ensure access to Typhon, Canvas, and Box prior to orientation session. Please see above for instructions on how to activate GU Duo and Box.
Review all the above material prior to orientation session so that you are already familiar with how to complete many of the CFA related tasks.
