Completing these THREE steps will get you up and running in your new role as an adjunct faculty. STEP 1 is essential to complete before we can officially hire you. Steps specifically relevant to CFAs are indicated as "FOR CFAs". Steps specifically relevant to section faculty are indicated as "FOR SECTION FACULTY". ***ASAP steps to get the process started***
Email PC a copy of your existing resume or CV.
Email PC a copy a form of ID (driver's license or passport)
Submit required documentation via the GUSON NM/WHNP & WHNP Program New Adjunct Hire Form. This is an important step because it will generate a GUID required to access systems and documents needed for orientation.
CV or resume
TWO letters of reference (Must be signed on personal or professional letterhead; addressed to the Program Director, Melicia Escobar, DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC, FACNM)
License(s)-- including DC RN + APRN/CNM AND your home state RN +APRN/CNM
Board certification-- certificate or copy of online verification
Documentation of degree(s)-- transcript or copy of your diploma (GU alum can download for free via the University Registrar's Office
Date of birth and primary address OR Driver's License.
***You may need to MERGE multiple scanned documents into ONE PDF for upload in each section. This can be done for free by downloading the AdobeScan mobile app to your device.
Apply for a DC RN and APN specialty license through the DC Board of Nursing.

Once your APRN license is active, you must register with DC Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) as a non-prescriber (unless you work in DC as a prescriber). Failure to do so will result in a significant fine.
