Reptiles everywhere!
Continuing our unit of "animals", children will learn that reptiles are a special kind of animal that breathes air, has a backbone, has scales or a shell, or both, and is cold-blooded. Reptile babies emerge from eggs. Children will consider these characteristics to determine if an animal is a reptile or not. Ask your child what they have learned about reptiles this week.

Numbers 6-10 can be broken apart into smaller groups (5+3) so that they are easier to identify.

I can work together with others in a peaceful manner.
I can wait my turn without complaining.
Please know that our campus will not be able to accept volunteers or any visitors on the dates of April 22 and April 29. Thank you for your support and understanding!
Kindergarten Writing Readiness
Using a small spray bottle, fill it with water and encourage your child to spritz and spray at an ice block filled with plastic letters or numbers. As your child is able to melt away the ice, ask them to say the name or sound of the letter they reveal. If they discover numbers, have them place them in order or count aloud. *This is a fun activity to practice outside as the days are becoming warmer! ;-)
Birthday Treats
Please click on this link to read the policy regarding birthday treats for the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you!
Each school day, your child brings home their Daily Folder. Please make sure you are signing the GREAT Chart nightly and returning it to school on the following day. Your support and communication is very much appreciated. Thank you!
Please remember ...
Your child needs the following items sent in their backpack, every day:
*a change of clothes in a ziploc bag
*a water bottle that they can manage without spilling
* label water bottle, backpack and lunchbox
*2 healthy snack items (no items that require utensils, please)
*Please send one water/drink for lunch to stay in the lunchbox and another water bottle for snack
Dismissal Reminder:
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify the office by a phone call by at least 2:00 p.m. Teachers and our front office staff do not always have access to email or are busy teaching or helping others. A phone call is required. Sometimes we have only one person in the front office, so we want to provide ample time to be able to meet your needs.
