"Death Is Peaceful" This image is an image from my FMP that I'm very proud of, because I think it invokes a lot of raw emotions.

My work explores the relationship between reality and illusion, creating a “fantasised reality” by creating new composites with digital imagery. I want the viewer to question what they see and to create their own narrative around these structures in dramatic spaces. I like playing with the tools of photoshoot to create this work and the viewer is unsure if this exists or not, this is my inspiration. I would like to continue challenging myself to see beyond what a simple structure hides and to discover beauty in unusual places.

The selected piece is from my FMP; "The Diary of the Easing of Lockdown" in which I explored the effects of lockdown on the urban environment. With my photography I love exploring locations, and seeing what gets my creative brain going. This photo came about during a test shoot for the project which messed about with photoshop by using text related to my project.

Lockdown brought disorder into all our lives. Streets emptied and people hid behind closed doors. Through my photography I captured a glimpse of how our lives have changed. These images of London show how we adapted to our new environment and how we are emerging as lockdown finishes, tired, cautious but grateful that we can reclaim our streets.

Anthropophobia: The fear of human judgment.

Standing out in a crowd is something I both strive for, and fear greatly. In a modern society where nothing goes unseen, I explored the false advertisement behind a number of hidden disabilities. Leading from my own experience, my work celebrates the human mind and explores how young people can be their own worst enemy.

For my FMP I wanted to capture a feeling of deja vu in the viewer. To do this I decided to focus on human emotion and connection whilst inducing a nostalgic theme with my imagery. My body of work captures the ins and outs of young people’s minds and coming of age, exploring poetic meaning through a nostalgic sense of feeling; whilst inducing a sense of familiarity. My goal was to tell stories through the imagery accompanied by text that I personally related to and knew other people would be able to observe and generate deep connections with as well.

I have chosen to submit this piece of work as I feel it best communicates to my audience my aims for this project. For this project I wanted to explore gender, identity and society's opinion on this matter. This was of interest for me as a result of not only my own experiences with social media and society but also my model's experiences (male model to the left). Through my work I wanted to show my audience that there is no definition of ‘normal’ and that people should be allowed to express themselves freely without judgement.

I created this project as an exploration into what it means and looks like to be masculine and feminine. I wanted the photos to challenge our modern notions of femininity and masculinity and how they present themselves. This is from a shoot inspired by Arbus. My aim was to explore if femininity is something purely superficial and if by simply having the male model wear a dress, they would look and feel feminine. I also wanted to explore the relationship between masculinity and femininity and how both can exist within a person at the same time. The larger body of work that this photo is part of is inspired by many things. This includes books, essays, literature, film and television, discussions with those around me and also my own gender identity.

I have always been interested in still life photography, as you have full control over the images you take, and you can fully express what you want to through these images. I have used photography to explore the relationship between people and objects. When an inanimate object is put in a relationship with something else whether that be a person or an environment, it can change its meaning. It can become personal and significant, which is why the name is so important "still life" This piece represents how you can love something too much to the point where you throw it up in the air with joy until it breaks, even with the teddy it can only last for so long. This represents disorderly admiration as they are not using the objects in order (how they are supposed to be used) - linking back to the FMP.
