My piece is titled "Model Memories". The sculpture is to represent a rib cage or tunnel and the photos hanging inside represent some of my core memories. These memories range from when I was a toddler up to last year.

Progressing to: After this course, I’m taking a gap year and then starting an animation course at Norwich University of the Arts.
I created these animations with water, ink and oil. I have taken inspiration from a previous project “Transformation”. The water ideas I have bring a sense of calmness, which also correlates the mental health link which I would like to raise awareness of through my own personal experience during this pandemic.
Click here to view presentation. Slide 10 shows all the animations collectively.
In order to create the animations, I used my own photos with a piece of software called PhotoScape X.
I chose to keep the middle section of my photo bursts, where the movement and mixing of the liquids was most vivid and interesting. I used the batch tool to manipulate the colours, background and vibrancy of the images.
I found creating an animated GIF really interesting, particularly the ways it was possible to manipulate images and create a looping animation.

This is the final illustration of a creature I created for my final piece which was a book about this and another creature. It is a mixture of real life animals, it has an eagles head, a lions mane, body and tail, with squid tentacles and a leafy seadragons spines.
It was created using pencils and fineliners.

For my final piece, I created a Traditional Slavic-inspired garment and Fashion Film.
My Fashion Film is inspired by the Celebration of "noc kupały" (essentially a Slavic Midsummer). Midsummer celebrations take place in various Eastern European countries, such as "Kupala" in Belarus, and "Ivan-Kupala" in Russia. On this night, Celebrations and Feasts are held.
Fire, Water, Ferns, and Flowers are key elements in the roots of Slavic Midsummer.
Fire Represents Power, Bravery, and the concept of new life, Water Represents Purity, and The washing of Sins. And Flowers represent Mother nature, love, and femininity.

Creating unique experiences for every viewer. As soon as you walk into the installation you get given a textured clay light. You are then free to interact with the artefact as you'd like. Through this piece, I aim to create a peaceful, atmospheric experience for anyone that would like to come along. Some people get really close to the artefact, play with rotation and movement, others stay a bit further away to try to achieve a “perfect pattern”. I find fascinating to see the variety of patterns which the audience manage to achieve.
I created the sound in collaboration with my friend Poppy Petrou. I combined her peaceful vocals with calm sounds to create a meditative immersive background sound.
Progressing to: Next year I will be focusing on my journey as an independent artist outside of education.
Despite my chosen pathway being fashion and textiles, I was able to take a photographic approach. These photos represent the change in perception and acceptance of gender ambiguity in the modern day, and ultimately the ability to be fluid with your expression. I had a really fun time, styling, directing and shooting this project. But also, educating, through carrying out primary research, I was able to inform my peers of what androgyny is and how it’s presented in the modern day. I also did some fashion illustrations, to go alongside the photographs in a magazine format.
