In my piece, I aligned the concepts of organic architecture, that takes inspiration in natural forms, with Pierre Balmain's idea of 'dressmaking is the architecture of movement'. In my pictures I aimed to show the fluidity of my final piece and to enhance the idea of movement. I used a technique called macrame, which is a form of textile produced using knotting (rather than weaving or knitting) techniques.

This piece from my FMP depicts this elf figure reclining on a branch. The figure is adorned in fantastical armour with numerous plant structures. From flowers in their long winding braid to bark leg guards, plants can be seen everywhere. Several tattoos line their unnatural pale green-tinted skin. In the distance, a glowing sunset illuminates the horizon. The distant land is conveyed through a series of abstract shapes. The sky is a strong gradient of reds, pinks and yellows with large clouds littered throughout.

This painting was based around the set theme “structure”. I decided to use structure of the mind as a more specific idea. It is based on struggle and suffering within the mind and how it can overwhelm a person with such emotion and confusion they will go to great lengths to try and feel freed from their own thoughts. Birds are free to fly away and leave everything behind whereas we are stuck on the ground.

This is my depiction of what Life and Death look like intertwined. It combines both natural structure themes; the Human Body and Plantlife.

This piece of work is a combination of two themes which I worked on last half term - "Human portraits” and “Human organs and Anatomy”. My first plan was to create just a photorealistic head made of clay, but after I accidentally made a scratch on my sculpture’s head this idea formed in my mind. I feel very pleased about this piece of work because although I faced difficulties during the production, the final piece is very close to what I had in my mind.
Progressing to: I intend to focus on my art studies for the new few years. I haven’t yet decided what I am going to do as a job in the future, as I have several things in mind which are connected with art.
For my FMP, I created a floral corset to represent my theme of structures. I had sewed the corset with various fabrics, painted it, then glued on over 100 hand made paper flowers. It took over 3 weeks of hard work to complete and I am very happy with the outcome.

This piece of work is my FMP. In it, I explored composition of custom guns I made from cardboard. The gun itself was a design based on WW1 revolvers and classic Russian Revolvers. The colour experimentation lead to this design for my FMP, using photo editing to explore the different moods I could convey with the colours.
