WHAT WILL WE BE LEARNING NEXT WEEK?
In Language Arts, students will recognize and explain the argumentative techniques used to create a strong argument, locate evidence in print and digital sources to support a central idea, and identify the types of evidence an author uses and explain how the evidence used by the author impacts credibility.
In Math, students will solve unit rate problems by making tables of equivalent values to find missing values and describe the unit rate from a table of values in context.
In Accelerated Math, students will find unknown coordinates of polygons on the coordinate plane, determine the side length of polygons in the coordinate plane where two ordered pairs have the same x-coordinate or y-coordinate, and find the area and perimeter of squares and rectangles on a coordinate plane.
In Science, students will ask questions to compare and contrast the Earth’s crust, mantle, inner and outer core, including temperature, density, thickness, and composition.
In Social Studies, students will explain and compare/contrast citizen participation in autocratic and democratic governments and describe and compare/contrast the two predominant forms of democratic governments: parliamentary and presidential by comparing similarities and differences.
