11. Information on Compliance

The University of Tokyo has established Basic Rules on Compliance to ensure that all members act ethically, follow laws and university regulations, respect human rights, and uphold the University’s social credibility. These rules are part of the University’s governance and public mission.

If you become aware of a possible violation of rules, laws, or ethical standards, you should report it promptly. UTokyo provides multiple reporting and whistleblowing contact points to support this. Reporters are protected from unfair treatment for submitting reports in good faith.

• Information on how to report or consult about compliance-related issues

• Lists of hotlines and contacts for different types of reports (e.g., general compliance, research funds, research conduct, information ethics, harassment, disability discrimination)

万が一、法令・学内規則・倫理に反する可能性のある行為に気づいた場合には、速やかに相談・通報を行うことが求められます。東京大学では、複数の相談・通報（内部通報）窓口を設けており、善意に基づく通報を行った方が不利益な取扱いを受けることはありません。
