The Program Timeline & To-Do List outlines the key procedures and important events that USTEP participants are expected to complete, in chronological order, from the receipt of their admission notice until the completion of the program. Please review the required actions for each period carefully and prepare accordingly to ensure that nothing is overlooked. Program Timeline & To-Do Listは、合格通知の受領からプログラム修了までの期間において、USTEP参加学生が行うべき主要な手続きおよび重要なイベントを時系列に沿って整理したものです。各時期に必要なアクションを確認し、漏れのないように準備してください。また、各項目に記載されているリンクや資料などの詳細も必ずよく読んで対応してください。 

Please complete the pledge form, which will be sent to you by email in early March (for S-Semester admission) / early September (for A-Semester admission).

3月初旬(Sセメスター入学)/9月初旬(Aセメスター入学)にメールで送付される誓約書フォームにご回答ください。

UTokyo Account is used when you access UTAS (academic affairs system for course registration) and other IT services provided by UTokyo. Once you receive the notification from the USTEP office, please access the User Menu of UTokyo Account and create a new password through the link below to activate the account. For more details, refer to the link below.

UTokyoアカウントは、UTAS（履修登録などを行う学務システム）や、東京大学が提供するその他のITサービスにアクセスする際に使用されます。USTEPオフィスから通知が届き次第、以下のリンクからUTokyoアカウントのユーザーメニューにアクセスし、新しいパスワードを設定してアカウントを有効化してください。詳しい情報は以下のリンクをご参照ください。

After activating your UTokyo Account, please set up multi-factor authentication (MFA). To ensure the security of your UTokyo Account, all users are required to enable MFA and thus some information systems (such as UTokyo WiFi) are disabled until you have enabled it. Please follow the instructions as below and enable MFA as soon as possible.

*After arriving in Japan, you might discontinue your current phone number and install a Japanese mobile number on your device. To avoid any troubles with MFA after your arrival in Japan, we strongly recommend using a Microsoft Authenticator or Other Authenticator Apps, instead of your local phone numbers. 

UTokyoアカウントを有効化した後は、多要素認証（MFA：Multi-Factor Authentication）の設定を行ってください。UTokyoアカウントのセキュリティを確保するため、すべての利用者にMFAの有効化が義務付けられており、設定が完了するまで一部の情報システム（例：UTokyo WiFiなど）が利用できません。以下のリンク先の案内に従って、できるだけ早くMFAの設定を行ってください。

※日本到着後、現在お使いの電話番号ではなく、日本の携帯番号を新たに利用する可能性がある場合は、MFA設定時に電話番号認証ではなく、Microsoft Authenticatorなどの認証アプリを利用することを強くおすすめします。日本到着後に電話番号が使えなくなる等のトラブルを避けることができます。

As part of the university’s information security measure activities, all members of the University are required to take the information security education (e-learning) during the designated period every year. Once you complete the course, you will be able to use UTokyo Wi-Fi, UTokyo VPN, and UTokyo Slack.

大学の情報セキュリティ対策の一環として、大学のすべての構成員は毎年指定された期間に情報セキュリティ教育（e-learning）を受講することが義務付けられています。コースを修了すると、UTokyo Wi-Fi、UTokyo VPN、およびUTokyo Slackを使用できるようになります。
