Victoria Peak

香港で最も有名な観光地の一つであるVictoria Peakからは、香港中心部のビル群を一望することができます。Peakへ続くケーブルカーへは香港島・中環駅（香港大学駅から地下鉄で6分）が最寄りです。

週末や休暇期間中は活気ある街・香港を探検している学生が多いです。街の中心に位置し、ストリート・フードで有名な旺角や銅鑼湾などが人気です。自然が好きな人は大嶼山や西貢にハイキングやビーチアクティビティに出かけています。香港は交通の要衝でもありますので、長期休暇はアジアを探検するのに最適で、マカオ・深圳などの近場から、少し足を伸ばしてタイ・シンガポールなどを訪れる学生も多いです。香港では多くのお祭りやコンサートなどの芸術イベントが行われ、学生もよく参加しています。街のカフェでくつろいでいる人も、自然や見知らぬ土地に冒険に出かけている人も、HKUの学生はみなさん思い思いのライフスタイルを楽しんでおり、学業にも良い影響をもたらしているようです。

Long holidays are perfect for traveling across Asia, with students taking advantage of Hong Kong’s excellent transportation links to visit destinations like Macau, Shenzhen, or further afield to Thailand, Singapore, and beyond. Club Activities 

香港大学は実はクラブ活動やサークル活動がかなり盛んで、キャンパスを歩いているとストリートライブをしていたり、サークルの勧誘をしていたりと大変賑やかです。特に図書館横の広場は人気で、頻繁にダンスのパフォーマンスやキャリアセミナーなどのイベントが開かれます。左の写真は、中国の伝統「獅子舞」の踊りを学生が披露しているところです。
