エルサレム・ヘブライ大学は、歴史、文化、そしてイノベーションが交差する都市、エルサレムに位置しています。世界で最も古い都市の一つであるエルサレムは、ユダヤ教、キリスト教、イスラム教の聖地であると同時に、多様なコミュニティや伝統が織りなす活気に満ちた場所です。その一方で、賑やかな市場、世界水準の博物館や劇場、そして盛んなグルメシーンやナイトライフが楽しめる、活気ある近代都市でもあります。学生たちはキャンパスからほんの数分の場所で、古代の歴史的建造物を探索し、文化イベントを楽しみ、ユダヤの丘の美しい自然に触れることができます。
エルサレムにある本学の3つのキャンパスは、それぞれに特色があります。旧市街を見下ろすスコーパス山キャンパスには、人文科学、社会科学、法学、そして国際プログラムの学部が置かれています。ギバット・ラムキャンパスには理学部とイスラエル国立図書館が、アイン・カレムキャンパスにはハダッサ医療センターに隣接して医学部があります。その他、レホヴォトとエイラットにあるキャンパスでは、それぞれ農学・獣医学、海洋科学を専門としています。

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is located in Jerusalem, a city at the crossroads of history, culture, and innovation. One of the oldest cities in the world, Jerusalem is home to sacred sites for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as a vibrant mosaic of communities and traditions. At the same time, it is a lively modern city with bustling markets, world-class museums, theaters, and a thriving culinary and nightlife scene. Students can explore ancient landmarks, enjoy cultural events, and experience the natural beauty of the Judean Hills—all within minutes of campus.
The university’s three Jerusalem campuses each offer a distinctive focus. Mount Scopus overlooks the Old City and hosts the humanities, social sciences, law, and international programs. Givat Ram houses the Faculty of Science and the National Library of Israel, while Ein Kerem is home to the Faculty of Medicine beside Hadassah Medical Center. Additional campuses in Rehovot and Eilat focus on agriculture, veterinary medicine, and marine sciences.

長期休暇中には、学生課が企画する旅行に参加することもできます。塩分濃度の高い水とミネラル豊富な泥で有名な死海や、息をのむような絶景が広がる古代の砂漠の要塞マサダなどを訪れます。また、多くの学生がビーチやナイトライフを楽しむためにテルアビブを訪れたり、北部の都市ハイファやツファットでアートや歴史、ユニークな文化的伝統に触れたりもします。
これらの旅行は、仲間との絆を深めながら、イスラエルの美しい風景、文化、歴史遺産を発見できる絶好の機会となります。
Hebrew University students spend weekends and holidays exploring Israel. In Jerusalem, they visit the Old City, markets, museums, and enjoy cafes, concerts, and theaters. Outdoor enthusiasts hike in the nearby Judean Hills or relax in scenic spots around the city.
During longer breaks, the Office of Student Life organizes trips to the Dead Sea, famous for its salty waters and mineral-rich mud, and to Masada, an ancient desert fortress with breathtaking views. Students also visit Tel Aviv for beaches and nightlife, or northern cities like Haifa and Tzfat to experience art, history, and unique cultural traditions.
These trips give students the chance to explore Israel while connecting with peers and discovering its landscapes, culture, and heritage.

Jerusalem is a city with a rich and diverse food culture that reflects its many communities and traditions. Students can enjoy a wide variety of flavors, from traditional Middle Eastern dishes to modern Israeli cuisine.
Must-try local specialties include falafel, hummus, shakshuka, and sabich, as well as freshly baked breads and pastries from local bakeries. The city is also known for its vibrant markets, such as Mahane Yehuda, where students can sample fresh produce, spices, and street food.
Cafes, restaurants, and food stalls offer both affordable meals and fine dining experiences, making Jerusalem a city where students can explore new tastes every day while experiencing the cultural richness of the region.
