Because of many backgrounds, girls and women are discriminated in education. Gender equality in education is the big issue to improve women’s situation. Especially, girls and women living in extreme poverty need education. Education is so effective way to break the vicious circle of poverty and participate in society. Now many females in the world are suffering various kinds of difficulties. Girls in some countries are forced to be married in early age so many girls will leave schools without enough knowledge. Even in schools, there is still violence against girls. In developing countries, physical facilities for girls are not set up enough. As a result, it will be difficult for girls to continue to go to school. Girls who dropped out from schools cannot find job to maintain their life. Also, they do not have enough knowledge about their health and life then many girls are suffering troubles. After these researches, I became interested in the situation in Japan.
