This week I went to Ainu culture center. That was good experience for me. I could know about the center, I could play the Mukkuri, playing that Mukkuri was very interesting, because I’m very interested in the Ainu music. I read an article that Tonkori is not a lead instrument but percussion, but I saw playing Tonkori, I thought it is an instrument like bass. So I against the article. And I saw a game called uko ni asi, it means stand woods each other, it looks like a game, a kind of chess or backgammon. In the Spring semester I researched about cloths of Ainu and I knew sometimes Ainu people wear cloths made by plants like bark. But I didn’t know how to make it. In the center, I saw a girl who wanted to make thread by bark of woods, and an elder woman told her how to make it. And after that I saw how to weave threads into cloths on TV. It was very interesting for me.
Next week is a presentation day. I haven’t decided yet how to organize my presentation, use Prezi or flip chart. But if I use a lot of photos, flip charts is more suitable for me, I think.
