Last week, I researched about the languages used in the Hamamatsu's official website and, compared with other cities, various kinds of language are used in the website.
I have researched the official steps so far, so I looked into some NPO this week.
First of all, I found the website that a lot of introductions of each NPOs. I thought that this website was so useful, but it was only for Japanese. There are also a lot of useful information for foreigners, so I thought that it was better if there was the website that was used in other languages.
In this website, I focused on NPOs whose purpose was related to the issues about foreign residents. This time, I chose two NPOs, ARACE and 外国人労働者と共に生きるの会・浜松. ARACE is for children who cannot do well in the public schools. Their purposes are to join in school class with confidence and to elevate the awareness of education. The other NPO's purpose is to help foreign workers who have some troubles.
There are a lot of NPOs' introductions to get accustomed to Japan. However, there are few NPOs that refer to "linguistic GAP". In researching "linguistic GAP", I found that it was also important issues for foreigners in Japan. I think that this issue should also be made known to everyone.
