This is John Coltrane. He may not seem to be working, but he is. This is how he made his living. He was one of the hardest working jazz musicians in history. In this picture he his blowing his horn as smooth as can be, his eyes closed because he can feel the grove. He is using his soul. His fingers are moving as fast as the speed of light. The amount of practice he did made him play so well.
