I just had to take the camera out of my box. I unlatched the seal and picked it up. As I held that camera in my hand, I knew the one thing that I had to do. I had to think. So I thought, “When going everywhere you go, there is inspiration. You just can’t escape it. Whenever you see something to photograph, you think what angle would work best with this and how will the sunlight play into that? It is like a part of you. You just can’t let go. You think of a million possibilities on how your photos could improve and make them play into effect next time you go out. Edits, crops, angles, lighting, landscape, and illusions can all make a photo better.”
“Think of how you hold a camera. Think of how good that feeling is. Does it give you a special feeling with the sound of that click? FLASH. There it goes, a photo that you took. Did that feel good? Go back and see it. See if you did good or if you need to retry. It doesn’t come easy. Everything has to do with your own motivation.”
I scrolled down through my old photos just to think of all of those good times and what I used to be like. CLICK. FLASH! “There goes another one,” I said softly. “Another memory stuck frozen in time." I opened the box again that had fallen shut, put the camera back in and latched it closed.
