The Artist

The artist:

A job where you can’t just look up “Funny memes” on the internet, find one after scrolling down for five minutes to the ones no one knows yet, and call it yours.

Where you have to have the brains to create something original.

Where many will get stuck

Some too messy that get frustrated

Some too perfect that get upset when you mess up

But in the middle there’s a balance of the two

Where you are good at what you do, but you accept your mistakes and keep them there.

A good artist’s mistakes make their work unique.

Right now I’m looking for a picture of artwork with mistakes and I can’t find any. I was wondering why when I realized that mistakes blend in with the rest of your work.

Art is more than just pencil and paper and drawing “still life” during art class. Some of you may find that entertaining, but art can take on the form of sculpting or painting or even things we see everyday that we don’t appreciate considering how much work can be put in to it.

For example, graffiti. I hope I’m not the only person who glances outside the window and sees everyday graffiti on the side of a bridge or apartment building and wishes they could do something like that.

I’m not sure if this qualifies as art, but I think of it sometimes as art. Composing videos on YouTube. So yes. Miranda Sings is an artist.

There are many other things that could be listed as art.

But I bet without a doubt there’s something each of us do in our everyday life that is art, even if we don’t know it yet.
