Importing contact in FunnelBud Go.mp4

Walk-through of the process of importing contacts

Headers

Example of how the list should look like in Excel, with headers for each column:

Subscribe status

In your contact sheet to import you should always have subscribed status if it's new contacts that are imported. You set it by adding a column "Subscribe Status" and mark each contact as either a 1 or a 0.

0= They are subscribed

1= They are unsubscribed

Adding contacts to a segment

You should always import contacts to a temporary segment in case something goes wrong in the import. Then all contacts will be gathered and you can easily modify them if needed. Name the segment "Import [date]".

Once the import is done and you've confirmed it's correct by checking some of the imported contacts to see if all the data is in place you can delete the segment.

If you want to import contacts to several segments you'd need to do several imports. Make the first one to the temporary Import segment, confirm that the import was successful and then import the list again, adding the other segment instead.

Duplicate contacts in the csv file

If you have multiple entrances with the same email address in your csv file only one contact will be imported. If the entrances have different data, the last entrance will overwrite the others. The only exception to this is company field, and the contact will instead have multiple companies attached to their contact record.

How to add single contacts

Sometimes you just want to add a single contact and not import a whole list. Watch the video to see how it's done.
