Note: This doesn’t work if you have Google Workspace, due to the way Gmail handles email threads. It works if you have for example on Office 365 when set up correctly.
FunnelBud can monitor if someone replies to your FunnelBud Flex emails. You can use this to stop / trigger branches in your automations.
How it works:
You will set up a “monitoring email address” in your Office 365 or email server, for example “reply-tracking@yourcompany.com”.
You will connect FunnelBud to that via IMAP. Then FunnelBud can see who replies to that email.
You will set up an auto-forwarder in your Office 365 so that when someone emails your employees, a copy will automatically be sent to that address.
When sending an email from FunnelBud, you will BCC that address.
That way, when you send an email from FunnelBud and someone replies to you, a copy will be sent to that inbox, and FunnelBud will see that the person replied.
To connect to the email server via IMAP (step 2 above), go to Configuration > Email settings > Monitored Inbox Settings > Contact Replies, and set it up there. Set “Use custom configuration settings” to Yes.
In the campaign builder, you can now use “Replies to email” with yes/no branch to action if someone replies to an email.

Note: The automation that sends your emails and BCCs your monitored inbox should be sent to max a few contacts per day. Sending too many emails to one single address may lead various systems to see it as spam and block it otherwise.
