The team determined that STUDENT met the criteria of a student with a Specific Learning Disability in the area of reading by demonstrating a significant discrepancy of -18 between ability and achievement in reading comprehension. She has struggled with reading comprehension for several years despite interventions in the general education classroom.
STUDENT continues to demonstrate articulation errors that are affecting his education and understandability in the general education classroom and with his peers.

STUDENT'S parents were not in attendance at the MET Meeting; however, the school will seek out their input through other means such as a home visit. His parents are continually invited to participate in the process. STUDENT can not participate in special education services until his parents agree to placement.
STUDENT'S parents agreed to proceed with IEP after the Eligibility was determined and before an official PWN or MET report could be given to them.
