Task: INDIVIDUALLY complete the tasks as directed below for ALL 3 CONTEXTS. You need your math notebook and colored pencils.
Each CONTEXT has four number pairs. PICK ONE to use. The first number in the pair goes on the first blank and the second number in the pair goes on the second blank.
DRAW using blocks w/different colors and labels to model the story.
SHOW the same model using values (numbers) in each block
WRITE the two sentences
Choose ONLY one of the four number pairs to solve for each CONTEXT.
Top: EXAMPLE for how to model the story to in the CONTEXT using colors and labels.
Middle: EXAMPLE for how to model the story using values (numbers).
Bottom: EXAMPLE for how to write the two sentences.
The 3 sections below should use about one half of a page in your math notebook.
