Bookmarks in Google Chrome can help keep track of important or frequently visited web pages. An individual may need to revisit a page multiple times in a day. Bookmarks help alleviate knowing the direct URL to a specific page or a frequented website. Here, we will brush on creating bookmarks and dive into creating folders that can also be put on the Bookmarks bar.
The simplest way to create a bookmark is to click on the star icon in the address bar (image 1), which will open a small popup window (image 2) that allows you to name the page and set the folder under which to save it.
When you reach this menu, you can pull down the folder menu (image 3) and select the "Choose Another Folder" option. This will open up a menu with the current folders (image 4).Â
Before you can add a new folder, you must select where you want the folder to appear. If you put it under "Bookmarks Bar," your folder will appear in a bar under your URL address section (image 5). If you put it under "Other Bookmarks," you will have to open the bookmarks sidebar by selecting "All Bookmarks" under your user icon(image 6).
Added note: Another way you can Add/Edit folders is to select "Open Side Panel to see All Bookmarks" from image 6 and it will show you allfolders and bookmarks (image 7).
