Mrs Reynolds Maths Group have been using a variety of maths games to practice the essential maths fluency skills needed for quick and accurate mental maths. We have been focusing on the 4 operations of adding, subtracting multiplying and dividing along with our knowledge of factors and multiples, rounding numbers, ordering numbers, understanding decimals and properties of shape. Here are some of the weblinks we used:Â TopmarksKS2https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Search.aspx?Subject=16&AgeGroup=3
We have made a start on our electric vehicle Designs and have been thinking about how to make our cars environmentally friendly. With the help of Jamie Kelleher, an Engineer from the Ford Motor Company, we will be making our vehicles and testing them against each other to see which one performs the best. Today we manufactured some of our components and checked our inventory list.
We have also had our first business meeting in our groups. We shared our ideas, came up with a company name and a vehicle name and started our final design. We learned the importance of listening to each other and compromising to come to a final decision that included everyone's ideas.
Cricket!
We have been learning to play cricket in our PE lessons this half term. We spent time working on our catching, bowling and batting skills! We are looking forward to playing some games next half term.
